The Lions Club of Maldon
and the Rotary Club of Maldon have restarted this traditional event‚ in conjunction
with Maldon District Council - Leisure Services Department. The popularity of the Maldon Mud Race continues
to grow‚ and yet again we had close entries before the day despite permission to allow more competitors
than in previous years. The 2006 Mud Race was the 6th organised by the Lions and Rotary Clubs‚ with a
total of over £85‚000 raised during that time..

The race is a sponsored event organised by the Lions and Rotary Clubs of Maldon.
Competitors can chose their own charity for half the money they raise‚ the other half
goes to the local community charities picked by Maldon Lions and Rotary clubs. Competitors
from all over the world are welcomed‚ in the past we have had competitors from Finland‚
Germany‚ USA‚ and New Zealand.
